ACRO has developed a number of community-based training initiatives based on over thirty years' experience in the non-Government sector, successfully lobbying both Government and corporate sectors in terms of program initiatives, funding support and advocacy issues. ACRO has particular expertise in the area of media campaigns and has implemented many successful campaigns.
ACRO has also designed a number of peer mentoring and leadership training programs particularly involving young people.
ACRO is the only non-Government organisation to have spearheaded a statewide community-based research and implementation program to address community safety issues through our development of the Queensland State Government CPP program.
This invaluable experience enables ACRO to offer training programs for both government and non government organisations in the area of community based partnership development, skills development and accountability and reporting procedures.

ACRO also has a proud history of stable and accountable management practices and was one of the first non government organisations to develop comprehensive policy and procedures and strategic planning processes which provided the organisation with a solid framework for growth throughout the last two decades and into the future. ACRO is well placed both through their experience and well qualified staff, to offer other community based organisations training in best practice management and administration procedures based on participatory management principles. |
